THE ARTIST

John Bukaty is a pioneer of the Live Painting Movement.

Sixteen years ago, he started live painting weekly with a different band at a Kansas City Brewpub, but has since traveled across the country and the world for his work, painting in places like India, Ireland and Mexico.

Bukaty created important commissions for Chipotle, Sprint, Comcast, Western Union, Budweiser and Jameson.

He was selected to commemorate events like New Orleans Jazz Festivals, Fiesta Bowl, and The American Century Celebrity Golf Championship.

Celebrity collectors of his work include: Matthew McConaughey, Penelope Cruz, J.J. Cale, John Popper, Kansas Jayhawks Coach Bill Self, and Steve Winwood.

He has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for organizations like The YMCA, The American Cancer Society, Community Service League, The SPCA and The HALO Foundation.
